Madonna's Brother Blames Divorce on Kabbalah

Madonna’s estranged brother Christopher Ciccone believes the singer’s split from husband Guy Ritchie was bought on by her devotion to Kabbalah.

Ciccone – who earlier this year released a tell-all book about his superstar sibling – is also adamant the pair won’t get back together.

Madonna, 50, and Guy, 40, announced Wednesday (October 15) that they would be divorcing after almost 8 years of marriage.

And the Material Girl’s brother is certain the mystical Jewish faith is to blame for their relationship woes.

He told German newspaper Bild, “The Kabbalah sect, to which Madonna is completely devoted, played a large role in this marriage.

“It was based on it. And that is not enough on which to base a marriage and it couldn’t have survived.

“As for a reconciliation – I really don’t think so. With two such ambitious and headstrong personalities, it would just be too hard.

“Guy’s not the easiest guy to get along with. We don’t really see eye to eye.

“I really have no idea what my sister loved about him. I suppose I could have tried to stop her.

“But I always wanted to welcome those people whom Madonna let into her life. Whether it was Warren Beatty, Sean Penn or Carlos Leon.

“They were and are good friends of mine. Guy was the first who couldn’t bear how close Madonna and I were.”

“Guy was the first who couldn’t bear how close Madonna and I were.”
“Madonna’s estranged brother Christopher Ciccone believes…”

Isn’t it strange how the first and last sentences contradict?
