Matt Lauer and the woman he walked out on!MATT Lauer is gonna sit down with George W. Bush!

The chat show host has snagged a chat with the former U.S. President that’ll mark his first one-on-one television interview since leaving the Oval Office.

The interview will air Nov. 8 in primetime as a special Matt Lauer Reports, NBC said Monday.

Bush — who was president from 2001-2009 — will then join Lauer live on Today Nov. 10, NBC said.

The appearances are to promote Bush’ book Decision Points, which hits shelves Nov. 9.

“Since leaving office, President Bush has granted no one-on-one television interviews about his presidency,” NBC said in a press release.

“President Bush will talk to Lauer about the details of his upcoming book, Decision Points, to be released by Crown Publishers on Nov. 9, and he will discuss the defining decisions he has made in his personal and political life.”

Earlier this year, it was claimed Lauer had an affair with a woman who used to be a man.

We had quite enough of Boy George when he was President, and ignoring the wishes of the American people.
I wouldn’t watch an interview with the evil Bush unless someone tied me to a chair and taped my eyelids open.

Who cares if you watch? No one will miss you! I wish you had a little more respect for former president. You may not agree with direction he took country, but he was not evil!

      • Barbara

The former president deserves not one iota of respect. He stole two elections and led us smack into the 2nd Republican Great Depression with his (unpaid-for) trillion-dollar tax cuts for billionaires, the Wall Street fiasco, and his two bogus wars of choice. He shredded the Bill of Rights, destroyed millions of jobs and appointed two Supreme Ct Justices who have rubber-stamped the corporate takeover of America.

The great p.r. campaign has begun. Repubs are masters at rewriting history, a la Ronald Reagan, but I don’t think it’s going to work this time.

The only person who should be interviewing Mr. Bush is a prosecutor of war crimes charges.

p.s. Would “sociopath” be a better word than “evil?”

Instead you would rather follow bama off a cliff like a stupud lemming with your eyes covered??? You get what you deserve!! Go cash your unemployment or welfare check that I pay for with MY tax dollars…. LOSER!!!

      • carol

I agree completely with you Melinda.

    • lorie

Eric, great comment. I completely agree.

  • lorie

Eight years was enough. After “mission accomplished” and “weapons of mass destruction”, I’m not surprised it took this long for him to do an interview. Hopefully, he will work on his communication and English skills and not embarrass himself any further.

  • Kim

This is one person who was trying to lead millions. Noone is going to be completely satified with who our President is, past or present. I did not agree with everything Bush did and I am currently not happy with everything Obama is doing. You may not agree with our leaders past or present but it has to be a tough job. They are only human and in a danged if they do, danged if they don’t situation. As for English skills Bush was not eloquent but niether is our current leader Obama. If you have not noticed, English skills have been slowly declining (ain’t is in the dictionary now, I have always been told ain’t,ain’t a word). Not only is the English language declining but also compassion and pride in our country. Our leaders are temporary and so will our country, if we do not stop griping about everything, have patiece and understanding, and learn how to be united. Remember: “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”. Our Presidents do not make our country what it is WE DO.

Barbra, the only one that stole an election is that Saturday Night Live comic Frankin posing as a senator. He loses and all of a sudden 400 votes show up in the trunk of a car and low and behold, they are all for him? Oh, how many did they say were from convicts? I’m sure you’d defend him, he’s one of your guys!

  • GrammarCop

Quite surprised he would choose to be interviewed by one of the lame stream media’s biggest softball pitchers. The next impartial and riveting interview Lauer does will be his first! I am always interested in what ALL of our ex prez’s have to say…except Jimmy Carter…he’s too much of a loony tune for me.

  • GrammarCop

Upon further review, Bush is getting set up for a massacre. Make no mistake, it is no coincidence that this “interview will take place the day before national elctions in November…so much for the lamestream media not having an agenda!!!

    • carol

You are so right on with everything you said. I’d take George W. back in a heartbeat. At least he loves America and was not an evil dictator and George never tried to destroy the constitiution and the rights of American citizens and George never created a civil war in the US like Obama is with Arizona.

  • Ann Bedard

Thanks Grammarcop, I was thinking the same thing. How did Bush steal the elections exactly? I know what most think about he first one, please explain the second one.
I love how all you libs blame Bush for all the wrongs going on in this country. Obama is the best. Funny I don’t ever remember Reagan blame Carter for possibly our worse 4 years ever that carried well into Reagans time in office. Thank God for Reagan, Clinton I’m sure thanks him, he sure made him look good!! Follow the path of Reaganomics. God I can only pray that the likes of the new Axis of Evil (Obama,Pelosi & Reid) find their way off a big rock somewhere. They are the destoyers of this country. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE SINCE BIG O’S TIME AS PRESIDENT, who was elected through the media and Oprah!
Talk about a slippery slope. I give Bush credit, he at least has the balls to be interviewed by ultra liberal NBC where chickenshit Obama, won’t go near fox. Yeah that’s a leader, afraid of the media that tells the other sides story. I do miss ya George, If O has his way, we will be another Russia soon.

the comment above was meant in response to Ann’s comment.

Bush lied his way through his stolen presidency. Why would I want to watch him lie some more?

And I used to like Matt Lauer, but he’s just so full of himself now, he’s hard to watch.

    • earlofsnoh

You can’t handle the truth. So you call it a lie.

  • ripley

all the republicans do is bitch about liberals, pass unconstitutional laws (Patriot Act) and ignore the needy. Rest assured, if Obama passsed the Patriot Act we would still be hearing the bitching and moaning of conservatives, but since it was Bush whatever he does is okay. Why dont you republican losers stop whining and get off your lazy asses and get a job.

    • earlofsnoh

Thank GOD liberal never complain about Republicans..then where would we be?

  • Ehécatl

Matt Lauer shouldn´t be interviewing George W. Bush. The International War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague should be questioning him. Bush is a war criminal and should be treated as such.

    • ripley

      amen sister

    • earlofsnoh

Awesome…it’s a good reminder to me that some people never turn to page 2 and see that Bush stopped Saddam, uh, who his own country men sentenced to death for killing thousands of innocent people. Where is the crime in that…? It is only because you are a sore loser liberal that you twist the facts to suit your own opinion.

Stop listening to Bill Maher…read some honest history and form a true opinion. Pilgrim.

    Gee, what a privilege.
What a rare treat, two assholes talking to each other.

I don`t know why George B would put himself through this.George loved this USA.Obama has surrounded himself with people who have big issues with our country.I think he wants us to be like China we all wear the same clothes ,make the same money have same house and drive the same little Rabbit car. I had enough can`t wait for NOV.2 2010.Come on Tea Party!!!

  • Dave

At least Bush never led us on the path of Communism as Obama is doing. You liberals just can’t see the whole picture yet, because you expect something for nothing. And you will pay dearly for “NOTHING” Yes, Most people would take Bush back in a heartbeat.
