JENNIFER Garner has demanded that the public go see her new film The Odd Life of Timothy Green.
The actress — who is married to Ben Affleck — discussed the Disney movie with USA Today, saying that she is intensely proud of the heartwarming family comedy.
“I feel an evangelical need to let people know that they have to see this film,” she insisted. “This movie is for [parents] who don’t leave the house very often, but this is so worth their while.
“I get it. I don’t leave the house very often, but I would for this.”
Garner also spoke of how she balances her busy career with being a parent to her and Ben Affleck’s young children.
“I definitely get pickier with every baby,” the star quipped. “I do still want to work… [Ben is] really pro-me working. I think he thinks I’d go crazy if I didn’t, which is probably true.”
Garner recently confessed she used to be an “obsessive” mother.
“My parenting style evolves all the time. With my first child I was a little more like Cindy Green in this movie, who is just obsessively trying to make sure her child is happy at every moment and always trying to control his environment and make sure he has everything he might possibly need,” she said.
“I was just a little bit neurotic as many first-time moms can be.
“You learn to let go of some of that, when you are working the hardest sometimes you are making it the hardest for your child too, and you just chill out a bit.
“I went from having a diaper bag packed with fifteen diapers, and ten changes of clothes and every kind of rash cream to throwing a diaper in my purse and being like, ‘Yeah, we will figure out the rest. It’s good.
“I brag to my mom, and my girlfriends and I all talk about kids. We’re all proud of them.”
