Tyler Perry — Second Fire in Four Months at Tyler Perry Movie Studio

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

TYLER Perry‘s movie studio is on fire — literally.

The Hollywood mogul’s studios in Atlanta have been hit by its second blaze in four months.

The fire was reported just before 11 a.m. Monday and there were no reports of injuries. Authorities say the fire was contained to the roof, which had been undergoing repairs at the time of the blaze.

On May 1, more than 100 firefighters battled a blaze that ripped through a simulated streetscape at the studios, sending flames about six stories into the sky.

Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin J. Cochran has said the cause of the May fire would be recorded as undetermined. Cochran said the intensity of the May fire consumed any evidence that would lead to a cause of ignition.

Recent reports claimed Diana Ross hates Perry.

According to American tabloid the National Enquirer, the singer as refused repeated requests to costar with the House of Payne creator because she regards his body of work — including Madea — as too lowbrow.

“Diana feels Tyler’s movies, TV shows and especially his main character ‘Madea’ have no substance,” a source said.

Perry has been trying to work with his idol Diana for years, sources say.

“But she refuses to even discuss the prospect with him,” said the insider.

“Diana is all about her entertainment legacy. The last thing she wants is to co-star in a cheesy comedy starring a black man in a fat suit playing a half-cocked, angry old woman waving a gun.”
