ROBERT Pattinson is getting close to Andrew Garfield‘s ex-girlfriend.

Shannon Woodward has apparently been comforting the Twilight star — who was left devastated when Kristen Stewart cheated on him — and hopes Rob will fall for her because she understands how it feels to go through a traumatic love split.

“R-Patz and Shannon have been getting really close. She’s fancied him for years, but he’s always been dating Kristen when their paths crossed at social events,” a source said.

“She understands what Rob’s going through. She split up with Andrew Garfield after he fell in love with his Spider-Man costar Emma Stone.”

“Shannon’s hoping they can be more than just friends.”

However, Rob and Kristen’s bosses at Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the Twilight franchise, are hoping the pair get back together.

Sources say the studio hasn’t fully organized press plans for the fourth Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn — Part 2, out in November.

“The studio’s holding out to see if they get back together. But I don’t think anyone is banking on that happening,” said an insider.

“At this point, the press strategy would have been mapped out. It’s usually very organized, but at this time it’s undecided.”

Sources said Stewart and Pattinson could attend premieres separately if they don’t reunite.
