Kate Middleton: Topless Pictures Appear in France’s Closer Magazine (PHOTO)

Posted by Adam

KATE Middleton is hopping mad over a French magazine’s decision to publish pictures of her, topless on holiday.

The website for France’s Closer magazine showed an image of the front cover which pictured the Duchess in a bikini apparently about to remove her top.

Laurence Pieau, editor of French Closer magazine, said Prince Harry would feel ‘less alone’ when the magazine hits shelves on Friday, and the pictures are beamed around the world.

She said that they showed Kate ‘fully topless’ and that there would be “nipples”.

She said Kate had removed her bikini to ‘avoid tanning lines’. Ms Pieau said the ‘whole world would be talking’ about the pictures.

A blurb accompanying the racy picture spread meanwhile refers to the Luberon area of Provence with the words, “The Duchess of Cambridge topless on the terrace of a guest house in the Luberon!” adding “OMG!” for “Oh My God!”

The full text reads: “A little more than a year after their marriage, the royal couple was offered a romantic getaway, far from the protocol and etiquette in their very own garden of Eden.

“Almost alone in the world … because Closer was there! After the Olé Olé holidays of Prince Harry in Las Vegas, discover the very sensual shots of Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William .

“Discover the incredible pictures of the future Queen of England as you’ve never seen her before… and as you will never see her again!”

Meanwhile, sources tell Britain’s Daily Mail that William and Kate are considering legal action against the magazine.

“Their sadness has turned to anger and disbelief as we have learnt more about the photographs. We believe a red line has been crossed and we are consulting the French lawyers to see what, if any, action can be taken,” said one royal insider.

“The Duke and the Duchess were told at breakfast and are obviously saddened and disappointed if they are genuine as they believe they have a right to privacy — particularly on holiday.”

“Their Royal Highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and totally unjustifiable manner,” the couple said in a strongly worded statement today.

“The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to The Duke and Duchess for being so.

“Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them.

“Officials acting on behalf of Their Royal Highnesses are consulting with lawyers to consider what options may be available to The Duke and Duchess.”

As a French citizen, I can only offer my most sincere apologies for such a dirty, stupid, uneducated and sick “documentary”, I just hope the Royal Family can sue that cabbage leave and their “reporter” and take them to the cleaners. Such a paper has no right to exist. JR Derche, a dreadfully embarrassed French supporter of Kate and Harry. cassde51@mweb.co.za

Yeah, what about the double standards that the Fourth Estate in France has always indulged in? Shame on the French for their hypocrisy and sleaze. Oh, and I say this as a man with a French wife who totally agrees with me.

  • poff

leave the girl alone a private holiday should be private. the paps are scum.

  • jacqui

Are the French paparazzi not satisfied with pursuing and killing Princess Diana. This scum should be held accountable for reporting gutter rubbish?

    • Susan G.

Silly and reactionary response. The paparazzi were predatory ( as usual) in taking these photos of Kate in a private place. Your generalizing from the particular however, is difficult to support without substantiation, and is therefore nothing but reactionary to me.

    • Anonymous

B.S. You don’t know that: you are just trying to heap rumour and scandalous accusations upon the real problem of the invasive paparazzi problem. That’s crap.

  • Robert

Really it is shame to take break someone privacy.

  • colin

they need to get a life why not show them its not as if all us uk residents realy care it shows there human not puppets

    • Susan G.

Sorry? Are you seriously advocating that anytime you get naked in private then because you are not a ” puppet” you should expect to be exposed to the world? Nuts!

God forbids if WILLIAM and KATE were Muslims then we are now experiencing a much and furious demonstrations around the world

    • Anonymous

Yep. We’d be looking at the bonfire of the Louvre or something equally iconic and disgracefully razed.

    • TR

not really…if they were Muslims ,she would be stoned to death and he would remarry the next day.

is that all you know about islam.fear and oppression?

  • Andrew

Maybe France do not have a monarchy and that’s why they do not know what is privacy and nudity, perhaps some form of manners. Act of an animal !

    • Susan G.

Good grief. It has nothing to do with being republican as opposed to being a constitutional monarchy. Are you honestly trying to suggest that a monarchy confers some kind of morality and decency in the treatment of people and general mores and behaviour? Crack your history books, Andrew!

  • Kevin gonor

The British Royals should ban all media contact even with the decent media until they police their own industry and stop paying for photos from idiots. No interviews, stories or anything. It’s appalling to me that 2 grown up people cannot enjoy a romantic get away. Especially with their hectic life. I hate the press!

The French press are completely hypocritical. They are happy to splash private and innocent pictures of a young woman sunbathing because she’s British royalty, but nary a squeak about the odious and sleazy Dominique Strauss Kahn and his appalling and repulsive abuse of underage sex workers both in France and transported to Washington DC for his nefarious abusive indulgence. Bloody hypocrites n’est- ce pas?

  • tanya atkins

yes I can imagine how totally angry William would be esp after wat the press did to him mother. I think it is pathetic that the press even think that the general public want to look at Kate in that way at all. The papparatzi and magazines are pathetic leaches and filthy perverts trying to get the rest of the world hooked on their sensationalism.

  • Steve Edwards

The press should leave them alone to have a holliday in peace, maybe people should start taking photos of the press when they catch then hiding in the bushes if they didn’t have a press card they would be arrested for stalking. i hope then magazine gets sued s__t loads and have to close up. This type of photo is not freedom of the press crap

  • Anonimous

She has choices the future queen! There is no way in todays world the most photographed woman can have privacy. Diana courted the press when it suited her, God rest her soul! What I am saying Kate had some responsibility in this, she was in full view from the road. It was in very bad taste to take the photo and exploit it, but this is the the nature of the big capitalist media, as we have seen in case of the Murdoch press just how far this kind of journalism is ready to stoop in search of sales. And by the way what are we all doing here commenting? We as the readers have a responsibility for consuming this filth! We are used as an excuse by the media moguls and editors but sales of these papers do not seem to flag! We are all guilty of reading this kind of sleeze. When we stop reading this they will stop taking the pictures! Sad that the French media begins to cater for the interests of the lowest common denominator! And lets not forget this kind of journalism has anglo saxon origins!

  • steelback2

It serves kate middleton right for that silly florick in front of ( a ) open window. for who needs royalty .they have seriously got far to much property .they will never help the poor in this stupid country ,by opening their doors and taking in homeless people .until such persons do. you can have all the tities they want.

  • Odysseus

It is of course shameful of the French press to publish these pictures: the right to privacy is – or should be – universal.

Clearly it’s not just in the English-speaking, Murdoch-influenced world that the press have lost the plot. Everywhere it seems they’re heavily inclined to zoom in on celebrity tits or, when forced to cover more important issues (yup there are some), they paste the gospel as authorised by official press releases. Any connection to the previous trade of brave investigative journalism is pathetically threadbare.

Apart from the French situation, like everyone else I’m eager for the Leveson report on our press, though experience of similar enquiries dictates it must be more in hope than expectation. Too many backs to be covered, as always. “Another sherry, Lord Justice”?

  • Red Devil

As an Aussie red blooded male, I say its about time she had her tits out for the boys.
    Gogg on yer Katey.

    • Odysseus

Yes, thank you Rupert. Have you descended to commenting on a rival rag’s website?

  • Brenda Sherrod

Is nothing sacred anymore? I hope this photographer is put away and all responsible with the publication……….Geezzzz
