DEMI Moore and Ashton Kutcher are locked in a fierce battle over the financial terms of their divorce settlement.

Kutcher’s lawyers “are trying to negotiate a settlement out of court and out of the public eye,” a source told the .

But, the source added, “they still haven’t reached an agreement over money, because Ashton earned substantially more during the final years of their marriage, but he doesn’t want to pay a large settlement.

“The discussion could boil over into a public court battle.”

Kutcher, who made $24 million last year, and Moore split up after six years of marriage when he was reportedly caught cheating during their anniversary weekend. He has since moved on with a very public romance with former That ’70s Show costar Mila Kunis.
