Mad Max: Fury Road Gets 10 Oscar Nominations

George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road received 10 nods from the Oscars today, topped only by Revenant which has 12.

Of the project, Miller says there WILL be more installments debunking the claim that the director was “done with the Mad Max franchise”. “All I said was it won’t be the film I do next.  I’d like to do something smaller, quick — before I go back to the wasteland” says Miller and adds that he is working on two scripts.

The Mad Max: Fury Road film is nominated in the following categories:  Best Director, Best Picture, cinematography, costume design, film editing, sound editing, sound mixing, makeup and hairstylists, production design, and visual effects.

The 88th Annual Oscars will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Dolby Theater- Hollywood & Highland Center and will be televised by ABC.
