A recent report by Variety has claimed that Warner Bros., Village Roadshow and Team Downey have selected a writers’ room for the new Sherlock Holmes 3 that includes “Guardians of the Galaxy” scribe Nicole Perlman, “Baywatch” scribe Justin Malen, “Rogue One” writer Gary Whitta, “Tomb Raider” Geneva Dworet-Robertson and “Snowden” screenwriter Kieran Fitzgerald to help shape the script and story for next installment.
Downey claims: “Putting pure talent in a room together with focus, creates wonderful things. Sherlock has been one of my favorite characters that I have ever played, and I want to keep the franchise going strong.” He goes on to say: “I may be busy, but I will always make time for Sherlock.”
The sequel looks to start shooting the middle of 2017 as Robert Downey Jr. will be starting work on AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR in February 2017.
