Actress Drew Barrymore, 41, and husband Will Kopelman, 38, have released a statement confirming that they are indeed divorcing. Page Six broke the story April 1st about the latest Hollywood couple to call it quits.
Some wondered if it was an April Fool’s joke but this morning the couple released the following statement to People Magazine: “Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family,” the pair said in their statement. “Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on.” She goes on to say: “Our children are our universe, and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority.”
Barrymore comes from a long line of successful actors. Her success has come as an actress, author, director, model and producer. In 2011 she started her own wine company, Barrymore Wines.
Unfortunately, the green-eyed beauty has been unlucky in love. In 1994 she married 1st husband Jeremy Thomas, a bartender. The couple split that same year. Husband #2 was comedian and actor Tom Green. The couple stayed together five months before calling it quits. Kopelman, an art consultant and son of Chanel CEO Arie Kopelman, would have celebrated his 4th anniversary with Barrymore in June. The couple have two children Olive, 3, and Frankie, one. Earlier this week she posted an Instagram of herself getting a tattoo of her daughter’s names. On Saturday she had her first “post-split” public outing at the Pebble Beach Food & Wine Event.
